Practice sight reading with a violin by matching up the finger positions to the notes in the keys of C. This app uses a straight forward approach of displaying music notation in a format resembling real sheet music. Simple and effective practice to help you learn your instrument. Not that great
This app is a little bad because I don’t understand time penalty. It’s really bothersome!☹️

    Cello version?
I am a new cello player. Unfamiliar with the Bass clef so I tried the notes trainer app from the same developer. It’s a surprisingly wonderful free app. Thank you Ryan. So I looked up other apps Ryan made and brought me here. Now, would you please make a cello version of this app? Show more

    I love it!
Easy to use. Does help for sure! My note reading had improved quickly by using this app. Recommend: should have more higher levels AND maybe reading real songs!

    Simple and fantastic
I love this app, I have struggled to learn the fingerings and this has helped a ton. I find myself pretending to play with my left hand and touch the phone with my right. It’s not fancy but it’s perfect! Show more

    Nice app
I don’t normally write reviews; however, this app is free & free of ads, and provides an excellent training resource for someone that is learning to sight read on the violin. Show more

    Small app with big impact!
I’m just starting out, learning violin. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to take formal lessons yet, and have had to rely on online resources for learning. As a technically oriented person, I struggled to find a clear representation of the note progression on the violin fingerboard, until the first time I played this app. About half-way through the first lesson, it clicked. I was still slow, but I hit fewer wrong notes. Show more

    Great things coming
This app is still under development and so doesnt yet have everything that’s intended. That being said! ?✨ This is still phenomenal for getting your brain to associate first position notes on the violin with the actual notes on the staff. ? This was a disconnect i had which was hindering me. How awesome to have a way to practice this even when i can’t take my violin out! It means i can drill in practice almost anywhere! (I miss having a tally of how many rounds or minutes I practiced in a day... like a log. I hope hat gets added soon). This plus the notestrainer app (for ?) are a GODSEND. My sight reading has improved dramatically (treble, bass, and grand staff). If u put in the time, you will get better. These apps just make that more easy/accessible. THRILLED. ?? Show more

    This is awesome!
I’ve been playing violin for 3 months, and I’ve been having trouble learning to sight read music. This app is truly a life-saver. I played this app for a few hours, and in one day of downloading I can now sight read most notes and locate them on my instrument! Thank you so much for building this app to help beginning violinists! Show more
