    Great app
Running on Mac Mini M1. Used to control volume and pause/resume music via Airplay streaming from iPhone. Works great for these purposes.

    Barely Usable
If there was something better available, I'd switch. The single most maddening feature is the inability to remember your source. Select a song, close the window and listen. Decide to switch to another artist and you'll need to start over navigating to your music server (which for me is six clicks). Is it too much to ask to remember where you last were? Show more

    Downloaded and .... nothing
Dead icon sitting on my desktop. Nothing loads, no little icon in systray ... Meh. Give this a hard pass.

    A handy app
I have a 2014 mac mini running Big Sur operating system. I also have two Yamaha Musicast systems. I use the YamaCast App to change internet radio stations and to adjust the volume in my living room, where my computer is located. The app icon stays at the top of my monitor screen when the app is on. The only thing that I have not figured out how to do is to turn my Musicast receiver on and off. The app does not seem to be able to do this but maybe it is due to how my router is set up. It is nice to be able to change the radio stations and volume from my computer while I am working at home. Can't control speaker sets
I bought this for one feature: the ability to turn on or off sets of speakers from my laptop. The iPhone app has this, although it's buried a little. The desktop app seems to have no ability to do this. I have to ask, what is this app for except linking and unlinking receivers? Show more

    Volume control from my desktop!
Installed it, clicked on it in the menu bar, it found my amp without me doing anything. I changed the volume by moving the slider and it worked! Success! nice app! Show more

Volume control for receiver(s) in Mac menu bar is very useful
Controlling receiver volume from the MacOS menu bar is the go-to feature for me. Picking up a remote and pointing it at the receiver is not the most onerous job, but clicking on a menu item and being able to drag the volume level instantly beats it any day. (I also use YamaCast's play and pause controls sometimes, although that can also be done with other add-ons to control the Music app (née iTunes) directly.) My only feature request would be to allow renaming of receivers to something other than their model numbers; I'd love to be able to change YamaCast's label "Room (CX-A5100)" to "Living Room". (The developer has notified me that I can use Yamaha's MusicCast iOS app itself to do this, although I haven't set up a MusicCast network yet, instead using AirPlay on iOS exclusively.) Show more
