Great lessons and the app works really well

Barry’s video lessons are hitting the spot for me. Often a challenge for sure but well worth the investment of money and time. Each video is full of more then you can absorb in several days, maybe even weeks. I am looking forward to this time next year when I have had time to incorporate the techniques, theory, riffs and chops into my everyday playing style. If you are in a rut and are at least a moderately proficient guitarist you are gonna love the Barry Greene Video Lessons. Just jump in and start swimming!! Show more

if you want to learn to play jazz guitar this is the app. Mr. Greene is not only a great guitarist he is an excellent teacher. The combination has significantly advanced my playing and my ability to understand and appreciate what I hear. This is the best lesson site on the net. Barry Greene is an extremely talented jazz guitarist and very effective teacher. The wealth of information contained on the site is incredible. The tune based lessons cover a wide variety of the best jazz guitar standards. He instructs on the details of the song structure, how to approach soloing, provides example licks, and then plays the song at the end. In my opinion, it is worth the price of subscription just to watch him play on these lessons and on the BGVL Live sessions, it’s like having a live feed into a great jazz club. I have always enjoyed Barry’s lesson, I just happen to see one clip on YouTube. I know these lessons have a lot of great jazz information but really it’s for all styles. His harmony instructions on chords are amazing it will improve your playing right away, they are so many great lesson to choose from. I’m so happy I joined these lessons I’m learn a lot just from a few days. Show more

I consider myself a mid-level player with a fair knowledge of music. With that, if you take the time to watch his videos, several times, while applying to your guitar, you’ll begin to see doors open, the same way that I am. Paid access is a great value as opposed to lessons so I suggest trying paid subscriptions for a few months. You won’t look back! Show more

I’ve tried many online sites before. Barry’s is by far the best. Hundreds of videos, 1000s of pages of PDF material. All of the lessons on the site have common threads throughout, making it easy to see how Barry’s teaching principles connect to build a solid foundation of learning to master the instrument.
