4 stars for being able to real-time covert FLAC to Opus. However the UI really needs some work. Having two columns for “back to” and “up next” is really cumbersome. There should just be one scrollable list for the current playlist. There also needs to be a way to integrate downloads into the normal interface instead of just being its own tab. I should be able to browse by artist and album for downloads only. The reason I rely on downloads so much is that there’s not good service during my commute so I need to select only downloaded music for listening. Having to scroll all my albums and playlists in a non-sortable manner is not helpful. When I synced music to my phone using iTunes I could do this but not with Plexamp. Show more

When I open an album - the screen goes black or gives me an error and requests to reset. In on an iPhone 8 and was getting the black screen before I upgraded to iOS 16.2 now I get the error Show more

Only improvement that I can think of is making this available for apple tv.

Might be my new favorite app. If you have a music library (especially a large one) and don’t want to tote it around on your individual devices taking up precious storage then this is THE app to own. If you have Plex Server, of course. Show more

I'm a big fan of Plex Amp, especially the ios version. It's great for streaming my library of game music and works really well. The only thing I dock it for is there's a limit on downloads maxing out at 24 hrs, so if you have an album or playlist it only downloads the first 24 hours. This isn't inherently app breaking but I wish the app had at least warned me instead of just only queuing up half my music. I have a 36 hour driving playlist I shuffle and I'll likely need to look into breaking that up somehow. Show more

I’ve been using plex for a very long time. I’m a PLEX plus lifetime account holder because I fell in love with Plex and the idea of a common entertainment platform I curated. For years the movie/video components have served me very well. The addition of Plex TV with its guides and the supported tuners, etc. have made it better still. For me, PlexAmp completes the final missing component of the product. It provides an excellent, easy to use full featured streaming app. Running from iOS on an iPhone, it’s just phenomenal on headphones, over Airplay or on CarPlay. People can find faults in anything. From my long time Plex perspective , PlexAmp is beautiful. Show more

Would love Apple Watch offline downloads or cellular streaming.

I used the Plex app to play my music. It has a lot of issues where it would crash the app, or skipping to the next track, it would have a ghost song playing in the background when playing the next track. It was also slow in loading the track. The plexamp app solves all those issues and my music listening experience is seemless. Thank you Plex for creating an exclusive music only app. Show more

What can I say , works flawlessly accessing 64 gb music server running Plex Server. Plex Pass is whee it’s at. Airplay over Sonos or any networked device just works great. Show more

Bought a month ago and most times I cannot access my music via the Plex app. Remote access is enabled. I wouldn’t waste money on this.
