I am sure having the benefits of the premium tier (on demand, offline, etc) would make LO as good if not better than Spot YT Pandora etc, but their customizable station algorithms and generous artist stations a la the Pandora model are truly awesome just to shuffle at the middle tier plus level which removes ads, allows for unlimited skips (which learns your tastes), and VERY good audio quality (equal to Spotify’s 320 level and beats YT and Pandora) — is not only good but fun to fiddle with and oh, an incredible bargain. I personally love the news and sports and artist breaks and updates. It’s like an old fashioned radio with stations you curate, ad free, and all with a really personal positive vibe (Red is awesome)… the old wooden Slacker’s still the best in its chic new sequined gown — the diamond in the rough for me! :) (Take a hike Spotify Apple and … not you Pandora .. you’re still on probation) Show more

The app was good, an alternative to Pandora with more obscure music available. But recently, Nov 2022, it stopped playing music in background on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, making it totally useless. I do have a subscription. Show more

I love the app but it keeps telling me that I’m off line even when I’m on Wi-Fi

I love slacker. The variety is vast and eclectic. Very much so in Hispanic, Indy music and comedy genres. Slacker doesn't seem to follow the marketing norms of conventional radio as does pandora and Spotify. I look forward to a compatibility with Shazam. So if you want to be surprised, relive your first concert, have some company during your workout or just listen to your favorite song then Slacker is the app for you. Show more

Great personalized stations, curated to my interests. I have discovered several bands and songs based off of the App’s recommendations. I use it in addition to my Apple Music account, for just $19.99 a year! Good deal. Show more

Great wish you can license more music from other artists

Have had Slacker Radio for 4 years, and over the years it has done nothing but improve. Listen to it every Sunday with coffee.... Thanks Slacker Well now it’s been 11 years and still a great app full of good music!!!! Show more

I’ve tried Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal music and although they all seem to have more on demand music and other features I keep coming back to this app because it allows of real custom station and it is less complex then others. Live one needs music videos, be able to match the amount of artists and on demand songs because it lacks the amount of on demand artist. You keep losing artists. Saying that, there are some features I like to see on Live one 1. Being able to listen to a previous once again by clicking on the backspace and not being looking in the the drop down icon. After all isn’t that what a backspace is for, to be able to go back to a previous song? 2. Being able to have a next button to see what is playing next instead of peaking by sliding to the left on the screen. That is not working to well. 3. Music videos are also needed 4. Extend you music genres by adding new jazz artists, new Culture music like new French artists and add new French genres. Include new release albums. The number one and two suggestions are best for when listening in the car with carplay rather than look in your phone which is not recommended. Add Siri to listen to previous song. Show more

App worked great for me for years (Since the Slacker days) but now the app stops playing when you switch apps or your phone locks. I like to listen to music while I do work but can’t keep the screen on especially while outside. Drains the battery. Not good if I’m away from home. Show more

I have been a legacy slacker user for well over a decade. I have paid for the plus service in the past, prior to premium existing as a subscription option. I cancelled years ago for a reason I no longer remember… I renewed just before a business trip flight was about to take off and the app offered me the option to get a year of plus, with all the benefits you enjoy, for a discount. I enrolled, only to find out cached content for offline play is not available any longer in that plan… it was moved to premium only. $9.99 more… and I can get the app to work before my flight… I purchased premium literally 5 minutes after the plus annual after finding out it doesn’t offer what I wanted, and live one and apple will not refund the plus subscription. This app has received its last penny from me. Good luck Show more

This was my favorite app to listen to music, but lately every time I close my phone or go to a different app, it instantly stops playing music. I’m not going to keep my phone awake all day just so I can keep the music playing…. Show more

Best music streaming service I’ve ever used

Since a recent update when I plug in headphones the app randomly starts playing automatically even in the middle of a phone call. While on an important call that had lasted over an hour I was suddenly blasted by U2 - Eruption at maximum volume effectively ending that call. Is this a new feature or just a bug? Show more

The box in the middle of the screenStops the songs in the middle constantly so I have to keep pressing play. It’s very annoying
