Setup the program to run music for a local dance studio’s show after numerous mishaps with laptops / playlists / scratched CDs, etc. Very easy to setup, more features in the free version that we even need for this production. The studio is super excited to be able to run show audio without the issues of the past. I’ve considered purchasing the Pro version; but have no need for multiple saved shows at this point. My only criticism is for the price saving multiple shows seems kind of steep. Maybe worth it if that also enabled some other feature like sending of OSC commands to external devices? The only other thing I would like to see possibly in future versions is a non-music queue that can be used as a timer, ie for Intermission or something of the sort. I’ve come up with a workaround for it by creating a blank audio file and then setting a delay on it for the timer value desired. Show more

I’m a huge fan of QLab and this iPad version is a dream come true. I use a lot of different programs for music creation but this is my top pick for backing tracks and live theatrical performances. There’s nothing better in my humble opinion. Show more

Theatre stage managers I cannot say enough good things about this app. It is a life saver in rehearsals. You are able to put together a cue list as well as ‘hit’ buttons that play individual sound effects. Simplifies rehearsals. Tired of saying ‘ding dong’ or ‘ring’ this little app does it all. Our community theatre group has been using CDs for 16 years. Never again. The free version does everything we need and has features will may never use; it’s that good. I was very happy to use this app without much instruction or reference to the manual. The only aspect that doesn’t seem intuitive is how you load sound files for it to use. Once you cross that hurdle, adding them to your cue list and all the manipulations thereafter are so easy. Thanks to the developers! Show more

Great, professional quality app. Very stable. Been using it the last couple weeks with a local theater production and have had zero problems. It works the way you hope it will, which isn’t guaranteed or even common in the iOS world of audio. And it is free! What a gift to the performing arts. Show more

I use go button extensively. However I have had a few instances where audio files will suddenly show up as missing. The iPad will run one show perfect, sit motionless and uninterrupted and then in the middle of the next show a few hours later the files are gone. This is obviously a major issue and one I’m not sure how to solve. I’ve learned to always have a computer running in tandem just in case the problem arises. Other than that complaint, and it is a big one, LOVE this app. UPDATE: I discovered this is an issue with iCloud syncing music libraries and mysteriously deleting files. Well designed, lots of customizability, and the free version is fully functioning. I use it with the Digit BT-106 remote, and run the cues for my own comedy magic show, from on stage! If you can afford it, but the pro version, just to say thanks for a great app. Show more

I have been out of the theatre biz for a few years. I did a show at the local college to help them out and this app was amazing for running the show from my iPhone with no issues. This is everything you need to run sound cues for your show. Run it from your iPhone or an iPad. I can’t say enough about it. The free version works fine for me (small theaters, nothing too crazy). If your organization can pop for the full version $99 I think), please do it. These guys deserve it! Show more

We've used qLab for years to run sound for various shows, but are finding that unless you need lighting, video, etc. Go Button is even better. It's lighter weight, runs on less expensive and easier to carry hardware, and is easier to quickly train people to use it. It's downright luxurious to have an emergency backup on my phone if the iPads go down, too. Show more

Excellent! Made my job very easy on this last show. Running through cues, then jumping to the end. Rearranging cues, adding music that wasn't originally supplied and placing them in the right order 1 hr before show. No problem. Looking forward to using it on the next show. Show more

I use Go Button for backing tracks and sound effects for our drama group. This app is PERFECT for this application! The one "show" (i.e., playlist) limit for the free app isn't a limitation for this application. It is highly customizable. I love being able to add notes to each "cue" (song). This app gives me complete control, plus it is easy to use and very stable. Show more

This app is stunning from top to bottom. This app developer (Figure 53) made their mark creating the industry standard show automator called Qlab. Qlab runs large scale rock concerts as well as the majority of NY's Broadway productions. This app does only audio but it does it better than any app, and it's FREE! Can't recommend it highly enough!
