I have been a mac user since the Sox broke the curse, lol. We have recorded and published music that has traveled our wonderful planet. Some of our recording products have been mastered by Adam at Gateway, etc... If Apple continues to thank their users by creating apps like this, I will continue to be a mac fan. Appreciate the made by musicians for musicians feel. Some of the GUI can seem a little juvenile but don't be fooled, it's a weapon, for sure. Show more

Logic Pro offers a ton for music producers. It is also the best looking DAW I have seen and I have used a few. I am in no shape or form a professional producer, but for a casual who likes to mess around with music production. It does the job. Only drawback for me is that if you are making trap/rap music, I feel like the experience is a lot better on FL Studio over this. There are some features that Apple has tried to add that I have seen on FL but it is not executed as well. Lastly, the program can be very overwhelming for beginners. I wouldn't say it's their fault, but I just found it overwhelming and still do from time to time. I do love that it is a one time purchase and have it forever with any new mac you get. It runs very smoothly even on older macs with no problems. Overall, I recommend this app for sure. Show more

I've tried almost every DAW and they're all great in their own ways. They each have their own pros and cons, along with their own little oddities and differing workflows. However, since I like composing in a wide variety of genres, the workflow of each DAW being best suited for a specific purpose becomes apparent; then you end up feeling the itch to switch between them. For me, Logic Pro is the ultimate "all-in-one", jack-of-all-trades DAW, checking off all the features I want and need for my purposes. There's also a lot of hidden features that reveal themselves the deeper you dig. It's great for any genre you throw at it. The included plugins, library, and loops are so good that you can you can use only those and have great results. I don't feel the need to DAW-hop anymore, nor do I feel the need to buy a bunch of VST/AU instruments or sample libraries/packs. Show more

it really is the best - BUT how about we address the really specific bugs that are definitely fixable? Recall Solo sometimes unmutes tracks that were previously muted before soloing, navigating to marker by clicking in marker list results in a significant drop in audio for 1.5 seconds that does not occur with any other form of marker navigation, channel strip settings can be saved but there is no option to save the input it's receiving, and still no function to separate a stereo track into 2 mono signals? either way it's way way better than pro tools and i love it. i'm 100% sure i would end up with much worse problems in another workstation. You use a mac and make music buy this app. It's not glitchy if you know how to use the it.

If you think PT is the industry standard then you're sadly mistaken! Only thing I believe needs a rehaul are the cosmetics in Logic, everything else is good!

This would be a five star review if the DAW didn't crash every time Melodyne (ARA) was used. You have to use Melodyne right after recording, and you get maybe two to three playbacks before the pinwheel shows up and you have to force quit the app. Please fix this. Otherwise, it is a great DAW and I love working with it. The only problem is the Melodyne, and it is a big problem at that. Show more

I love this DAW. It will have to be my favorite besides Ableton. I love the look of Logic. The Quick Sampler and Drum Machine Designer are just beautiful! The option of using midi region or pattern region is amazing feature. I would love to see more Trap sound packs. I do have one feature that I want to see is where you can take outside sample packs load them up from the sound library within of Logic instead of clicking on export and then press add to loop library. That does take my time. I also would love to see new plugin features. Show more

I wish Apple had better support around its professional recording DAW to call vs waiting on hours worth of waiting time and a million prompts to get a live person to assist you things. Great DAW but support for it is horrible i cant get alchemy instrument plugin to work guess i will have to jump through hoops to get help. Show more

I am wasting so much time having to try and salvage projects because nstruments are randomly changing sounds and resseting EQ and automation (and not just when I have more than one project open like the "known Bug" I've read about.) I have searched forums about this issue and see people talking about it all the way back to 2017 yet Logic still hasn't fixed this issue????? Don't waste your $200. Show more

Logic keeps quitting unespectidly and an error message keeps popping up. Nothing will load at all. I can't use Logic.

The latest update broke Logic entirely for me, and I was devastated to see Apple's official position on this sloppy update is "well I hope you saved version 10.7.4 and know how to reinstall that!" Absolutely insulting to the professionals who chose Apple for reliability. Quite frankly I cannot trust the company that runs this amazing program anymore and I am sick of having to make excuses for my clients because I'm losing days to troubleshooting that is still unresolved. Look elsewhere for a reliable DAW in 2022. Show more

I bought this DAW in 2019. It changed my life. For $200 you get a stupidly good rack of stock synths and effects. I learned sound design by learning these synths. Show more

Please fix the SCORE edit and the EVENT edit features.They are not working in this upgrade.I use them all the time!

there are bugs like it sometimes during playback it loops with the loop off. It also makes noise whenever cliking on tracks. Please fix

I have been using Logic for nearly 4 years now. I have moved from Cubase world to this just because I found the workflow to be simpler and did not have to worry much about performance. I am now using Mac Studio M1 Max with 64GB RAM and still find the memory easily being used up by 5-7 virtual instruments unless I convert the track to audio. I expected Logic to work seamlessly with M1 Max but haven't seen the jump in performance. Show more

If you like hangups, basic transport controls not functioning properly, plugins not loading properly and regretting that you upgraded to 10.5.7, then this is the upgrade for you.

For a long time this year, this was my number 1 go to software for music editing, but ever since that update I'm not allowed to use any of my Roland sounds!? Is there a way to downgrade this update, so I can get on making more music? Show more
