    Perfect for my needs
Almost didn’t get this based on the negative or indifferent reviews. Now I only use the Azur 851N to play music on my usb drives or from my music servers via Ethernet. Occasionally use Internet Radio. This app serves all those functions flawlessly. The UI is intuitive and informative, much better than Linn’ Kazoo or Kinsky apps. Show more

    Bluetooth streaming
The app doesn’t work more than 3/4 of the time it’s nearly useless

    Nearly unusable
Every 60 days or so this app refuses to let me access my own Tidal account. I am pretty sure I have never had such animosity towards an inanimate entity before.... you must uninstall and reinstall, then retype your double top secret passwords again Show more

    Dont work with Tidal !
This crap will not work with Tidal. It say it does, but 90% of the time the message is ”User dont have a valid session” Its a shame. Dont by a CA component where you have to rely on this crap. I just sold my CXN. I liked it, but this crap app destroys the fun. Show more

    so so
App works sometimes but it is very finicky particularly with Tidal. Could do much better.

    Glitches
Constantly having troubles! Frequently plays radio only and will not connect to Tidal despite several attempts to reboot and reconnect. Many times I just give up and can’t listen to my music. Very frustrating! Eventually out of nowhere it will work for a while. This is a great reason to stick with cd’s! I built my whole system around this unit and have huge regrets. Show more

    Hard Drive Not Detected
I am all good with this looking like it came from the late 90s as long as it works...not having much luck right now. My oppo 203 had pretty much the same GUI and worked more regularly but wasn’t perfect either. Show more

    Bluetooth lousy
Has to manually press the botton to activate . Even directly connected to the modem , it is still super shamelessly slow even having a Fios 1 gigabytes Speedtest

    Lacking of options
I have a huge library on the NAS and it takes a long time for the app to scan. The scan results can’t be saved and the app scan again every time I open it. Why doesn’t Cambridge give us the option the manual scan, saving the scan results and reuse it instead of rescan every time the app is opened. With my library size it takes about 30 mins to finish the scan, and while it is doing it, I can’t use my phone or facing another long scan. Just think about the scanning time, I lose my mood of listening to my music. Saving scan and manually scan have been done in other app. We don’t add to the Nas everyday, so the scan only necessary when we do. Show more

Limited; no support for wireless update of firmware
    2000 era app in a 2018 body
  • JohnCRealtor, 13.07.2019
    Pretty Lame
If you pause the music the app loses connection to player. Toggling off and on doesn’t restore connection. The only way to get it to work again after hitting pause is to delete the app and reinstall. Absolutely ridiculous! Show more

    Very Weak App
Bare bones as can be. Doesn’t support the various streaming services. Could be so much more capable.

    Clunky interface, laggy
For the money I spent on the Cambridge CXN, the app is disappointing. Usable, but annoying.

    This app is crappy!
Never seen such erratic application. The updated version are no help. I am very frustrated. Think twice before buying the amplifier. Unless you won’t need to use the app.

Totally ruin my amazing Cambridge audio streamer
The streamer is amazing. But the app ruins the experience. Poor interface, poor functionalities, not user friendly, not designed for purpose. The developer who programmed this does not listen to music, does not have a large collection of Flac files. Please redevelop this app thru a design thinking process so we can enjoy our music. Buy a NAD Streamer
I replaced a Cambridge Audio CXN V2 with a NAD C368 with BluOS and can’t believe how well the NAD app works for roughly the same price. The CXN might be an ok product with an app that works as well as the NAD app but the NAD is also a great integrated amp for the same money. Oh, the NAD also recognizes ANY USB hard drives, flash drives, memory sticks and computers I connect it to. The CXN only sees one Samsung 32GB memory stick and one old USB 2.0 128GB hard drive with an external power source I’ve connected to it out of 25-30 different things I’ve tried. Cambridge you’ve lost a customer forever. I’ll never trust you again. Show more
