Perhaps the best synth app I have ever used on iOS. Amazing sound and control!! Mesmerizing to play.

I love this app. People who have vast amounts of knowledge and experience with midi/mpe, just like experts in any field, tend to be critical. That should be expected. This app allows you to play your seaboard with your phone. It has some built in sounds. It’s free. It’s not a replacement for any of their amazing software, but it does what it’s supposed to do and I love it. Show more

I see from videos that this is supposed to be polyphonic, however it is not so for me. I cannot play more than one note at a time with any sample. I'm not sure why it is like this but it makes it not very useful. Is there a setting I'm missing? I can't find one. Could also use a way to turn off the reverb. Show more

What is the point? Why buy sound packs if there is no method of recording anything. No inter app audio no audiobus. No nothing.

I spent real money on added sounds but it won’t let me download them. It always says fails to connect the store. It never installs no matter how much I press Show more

The sounds themselves are very very good, but without IAA or Audiobus it’s useless for recording. If this had AUV3 I’d give it 5 stars, if it had IAA 4 stars, but as is 1 is about as high as I’m willing to rate it. Bummer Show more

Pleeeease just let us disable the effects, it would make this synth so much more useful. The interface itself is really fun and musical, and some of the patches are nice, but not being able to bypass the effects makes it basically useless. Show more

The ROLI Seaboard is an amazing instrument, but unfortunately this app has so many limitations that I can’t call it anything but a toy. People have been complaining about the very same set of issues for years, but ROLI hasn’t been doing anything about it, hence my 1 star. Issues that still exist from 2 years ago: - There’s no way to change effects on the voice packs (free or paid). All the voices are full of reverb and other effects. - No inter-app or Audiobus support. The only way to use the full power of the Seaboard is by using this app, but unfortunately it doesn’t integrate with any other app. - If you buy a sound pack here, you can’t reuse it on Noise. You have to buy again. I don’t understand why one has to login using a ROLI account if that doesn’t serve any purpose. That’s ridiculous. Other issues include: - Login/password field doesn’t work with the iOS password manager (or any other). This is minor bu very annoying since all my password are generated. - In general the UI does not feel native... Scrolling is weird, there’s no way to search for voice packs (when you buy all the packs it gets though). - No background sound support. If you need to take a sheet music to play a song it stops working. This is not an inexpensive instrument, so I don’t expect accompanying apps to be that cheap. If money is the problem, just charge an in-app purchase to unlock advanced features, but do something to make this app decent. Show more

This is my favorite App! Was at Apple store tonight showing it to sales people who all wanted to put it in those phones too. I bought all the sounds as well and love them. I bought a new XS Max just because I heard it was the last device with real 3D Touch!! Makes a big difference! Tried on XR... not as cool ? without real pressure. I really hope Apple keeps 3D Touch working on iOS for those that bought products because of this feature! Wish 3D Touch was on iPad pros! Hope ROLI will add audio/midi connectivity so I can use this with Equator on Laptops or Garageband... Can I? Show more

This app has not been updated in 2 years and it should be removed from the appstore. No inter app audio or auv3, which means completely useless

Pros: - Excellent Sound - Keyboard sound swipe Controls have potential Cons: - No way to connect to other sound apps - The keyboard is frustratingly difficult to use. The minor keys have a well defined line that you can use to dead-center your key presses. The major keys, however, are nearly impossible to figure out. Is the center of the key to the right? To the left? Who knows. How about an option to show a classic piano-like keyboard or at least a line depicting the key center. Sure, it won’t look like a Seaboard, but this is a simulation, so does it matter? - No custom effects or setting presets Show more

Has some cool sounds on its own but: No ability to write your own patches No Audiobus, Inter-App Audio, or AUv3 support No updates in 2 years. Come on Roli! Get on the ball! Update this app OR release Equator Auv3 please. Show more

In this day and age I expect an app to communicate with my recording apps! Fairly Useless to me with this missing. Fantastic Sounds and I even bought one of the extensions, before I realized I could do nothing with it. It does recognize my Irig Keyboard, but then what? Get this baby working and I’ll make it 5 stars. Show more

The lack of audiobus and inter app audio support kind of kills this app. It sounds great and is fun to play - if you could use it as a midi controller via audiobus or even externally (with something like Midimitter) it would be an amazing 5star app. I really hope that can happen! Show more

I don’t have a seaboard yet, but I have 3D Touch. Combine the two and this is the closest I can get, and it’s very close to an actual seaboard.

IS this seriously not even Audiobus compatible? It only works as a stand alone? Why isn’t this in the description? Why isn’t this at the TOP of the description? “WORKS ONLY AS A STAND ALONE INSTRUMENT”. Show more

This app would be extremely useFUL if only it could be USED AT ALL, in any way as a plug in or external instrument. BUT- it can’t. No epic dream theater leads for you and your would be GarageBand. Sad day. Cool, until you want to use it. Show more

Instruments sound great. No practical real-world performing or recording application for me. I have the Korg module app and it allows you to record full length takes, create set lists of instruments to be changed through on the fly for gigs, and allows for inter-app cooperation with GarageBand. This system has so much potential to be an expressive tool for me, but until the iOS apps catch up with the industry standard I will not be investing in any more Roli products. Show more

Love the sounds and playability, however there is no support for inter app audiobus...that would be at the top of my wish list. The navigation for presets needs to be expanded... categories, user presets... would be a nice addition. Hope to see some upgrades soon! Show more

You need to have a seaboard to enjoy this app to its full potential. Its a new discipline don't think of it as another keyboard sound module or samples. Loving it loss sleep over it, creating interesting music with it. I pair it with my rise 49 and now Im traveling with it. For developer: Pls. × Show more
