I upgraded my rating after deleting and reinstalling on iOS 12, I got some but not all functionality. Wave screen still does not completely work.

Does not emit a sound, either in a host or standalone. Maybe its I’m on ios 15? This should be made to work before a customer buys it. No manual. I own CubeSynth, AddStation, AudioLayer, Teraverse, and Tera Pro. All work fine. I love them. But this thing appears to be abandonware. I’m getting tired of asking for refunds for apps that do not work. But that’s exactly what I plan to do. Sorry, Harry. But I feel like I was scammed. Show more

Big fan of Harry Gohs apps but some auv3 issues in GarageBand - It won’t load as auv3. App completely crashes and won’t reload. Please explain /help or fix for great review- thank you Show more

IOS 12.3.1 ..... I opened this app after not having played it for a Loooong time (think I was on IOS 10 last time I used it), and lo and behold all the patches are gone! Please fix this Virsyn! I’m obviously not the only one this is happening too! Please and thank you. Show more

This app stopped working on iOS 12. deleting and reinstalling made it work again.

This was my favorite synth . I opened yesterday day and it no longer works all the sounds have been deleted ! I pad $20 for this app and now it’s been stolen from me . Please help Show more

This is one of the best synths I’ve tried on iOS. It’s remarkably easy to create your own sounds by importing from AudioShare. And you don’t need to know what your doing to make something beautiful. The midi implementation makes this a real standout, rock solid with GeoShred, midi guitar, and ChordPolyPad. A pleasure to use. Show more

Bought this for $11.00 which is still expensive considering there are better ones for less. Sequencer is the biggest issue, when syncing with Logic, I usually loop the track, well, when the track goes back to the beginning, Poseidon’s sequencer just stops. And what’s up with that colorful wave screen, totally useless as you can’t alter the wave of the presets. Show more

Tera synth has a manual on the VirSyn site. There is none for this one. Unacceptable.

The developer didn’t have to make this into an AU, but they did. So they get some credit for that I added a star.

VirSyn might be the best of the best when it comes to iPad synths. Poseidon is just incredible. Such a wide range of sounds, almost a bottomless canyon in this app alone. The advantage Poseidon might have over Tera synth is in the accessibility of the controls. They are all there right in front of you. And the Arpeggiator is great as usual. After playing with this a little more I find it to be very expressive. Would be nice to hear the original wave dry and blend/mix/morph from that. Great app for soundscapes you can also create some interesting synth patches once you get use to what's under the hood. Show more

This app is great for importing sound files, analysing the partials and coming up with somthing completely different. The addition of a tunner would be handy, but i have no complaints. Show more

There has been a comparison to Nave. This is a different take on the same concept. An interesting feature is a pair of dice which generates a set of waveforms randomly. Many of these are quite useful. Once you have a new set of waves, the instrument itself is very intuitive to program. Each are or feature brings up a second layer that can be used to program. I built four patches in five minutes. Sounds are very metallic and ethereal. Great job. Show more

I find Poseidon to be very limited, and not that great. It is being compared to Nave, but in my few hours with it, I don't see how they could remotely be compared. Also, what is with the terribly detuned oscillators that don't appear to have any effective tuning control? So far, the only iOS synth app I am not pleased to have spent $10 on. Show more

After using this product for a couple of months like this app Huge potential If you want a bunch of sounds here it is. Some of the sounds are great there are many to choose from. Now I have gotten used to their beautiful addictive synth app. On iPad 2,3 and air it loads sounds slowly, as in not for performance. In studio awesome this app has some awesome sounds. for the price of this synth modulation routing should be much deeper. And graphical. I am spoiled by another one of their products addictive synth...... Very spoiled. On the other hand.... I keep going back and finding useable sounds on this product. Random function is very kool tool for some very amazing and highly useable sounds. Show more

Can you guys possibly make it easier to move the wave shape model? It feels like I'm trying to work with floppy spaghetti

Sure this has a few bugs. A key I had on hold wouldn't come off of the hold, and the whole app just froze doing nothing other than playing that key until I forced the app closed. It has been very stable on my iPad Air 2. As a fan of all VirSyn synths, I couldn't divert my loyalty from them just because a few early bugs need some fixing. VirSyn is on top of things and already updated with some resolved issues. Could still be improved a bit. That said, don't worry about it, this is an excellent synth., Of all my iOS synthesizers, this has some of the best sound design capabilities for atmospheric, evolving sounds. Yes, it would benefit from having user wave import options, but it's not a deal breaker. I am enjoying Poseidon and have no doubt it will improve. You can trust VirSyn, and you get quality when you buy their stuff. Show more

I love wavetable synths and was happy to see a new one pop up in the app store, especially from a developer like VirSyn. After a recent update caused a crash for many users a proper fix arrived within days. Responsiveness to these sorts of things goes a long way and shows a commitment to the customer and product. The app itself is easy to use and has a look and feel that will be familiar to fans of the VirSyn app family. The sound from Poseidon, however, is unlike anything encountered so far... easily better than Nave. It effortlessly oozes unusual sounds which are as rich as they are haunting; the vocal textures are especially excellent. I am looking forward to integrating this into my sonic repertoire. Show more

The update to load soundfiles in to convert to wavetables is excellent! Between that and the very great workflow (as a GUI, you get to almost the whole synth engine in one main visual area, huge plus), I now consider this the best wavetable synth on iOS! Show more
