Please update app is amazing .
Update this app. This was 6 years ahead of the game . It feels like classic gear to use it with so many nice features .

Not working, no sound, glitches, etc
Please fix this. I will pay more for the fixes. Great drum machine that has served me well but it doesn’t seem to work right now and it has plenty of artifacts and glitches that are frustrating. Please fix!! Show more

    Broken
Won't load any content. Won’t make any sound. I like the app. I hope they fix it.

Does not work, no support dec 2021
This app won’t even run anymore. Nothing changed, I didn’t install any new apps or system updates. I was working on some tracks in aum with ispark, now it’s dead in the water. It worked for a few years, but still has uncorrected, show stopping bugs. I love arturia, but i am sorry. The ios apps are just lazy. Show more

iSpark is TOTALLY AWESOME AND RADICAL for MIDI BUDDIES
There’s nothing that can be said or experienced with iSpark as both a part of a bigger group of virtual (or actual) midi machines speaking to each other and letting us listen or as a standalone MPComputer that can string along complex sequence arrangements with real-time recorded automation given to every parameter in each triggered sample as well as both of the assigned effects, which can make your sequenced drum patterns go from - boom boom bap, , ba boom boom bap, passstzz (x8) to bitabing loba loba, bitabing loba swick ck ck cckk ch ch BOOOOOWWWWWWWW puck BOOOOOOOWWWWWWW puck, bitabing loba loba schweee schweee … or equivalent. Any of the minor quirks, crashes, or the strange way that you have to navigate the hierarchy of folders in the sample libraries are just that - minor. You can load anything you want as a sample and do a limited amount of editing from within the app, with the added ability to stack up to 4 layers per pad that can be triggered in different ways (stacked together, velocity [think of dividing the pad into 4 horizontal pieces], round robin) which i have found is complete over kill unless you are using dynamic samples of a single source. I have become pretty attached to the AKAI MPC format and approach to writing after many years playing the drums and guitar, but I gotta say that for iOS the only other app that does anything close would be iSPARK. I use it to broadcast live in AUM along with lots of other noisy friends(apps) who are all eating off the same midi plate and are looking for dessert. Show more

    needs a lot of work
This is a tool with a lot of potential, one thing I notice is that there are sound artifacts when you start to change the parameters, there are awful glitching sounds sometimes when you change parameters, one reason I wanted this is to acquire more drum sounds and potentially make massive songs it does that, but at the same time it’s not recording worthy if there are going to be little glitch pops and sound artifacts that you have to edit out, I can confidently work on the Electribe wave app and know that I will potentially have something to record later on, it’s not a high quality finished product if there are audio pops and sound artifacts all over the place, the beatstep pro is a fantastic machine this app does not exemplify the excellent work Arturia is capable of, please improve this app Show more

Arturia why have you abandoned iSpark?
Hey Arturia why would you abandon iSpark one of the best iOS drum machines on iPad? Please consider updating this app!

    Arturia inter-app instruments
I bought this app under the impression that it could access sounds from the other Arturia instruments that I have purchased individually. They all sound great, but are very difficult to export for sound sources to recording applications. This was what I thought would be simple, obvious feature and was really hoping for it to work as I expected. The Link and Bluetooth connections do nothing I can use. What I got was a pretty good drum machine (of which I already have 5 or 6). I will definitely update my rating if this feature is implemented in a future release. Show more

    Great sound, a little buggy
I originally wrote a worse review but I've spent more time really digging in to learn it. Now I only have 2 complaints. First there's a small bug. When Im using it as an IA in Cubasis, I have MIDI clock receive turned off in iSpark (using it as sound module with MIDI notes from Cubasis, not to sequence patterns within iSpark). This prevents iSpark from starting pattern playback (as intended). But the next time I start up Cubasis, it loads iSpark, and even though MIDI clock receive it turned off, iSpark still starts playing back when I press start in Cubasis. I have to set it to MIDI clock off (even though it says it's already off, it doesn't actually remember that setting). Secondly, I really with this was usable as an au3 plugin. Then there would be plugin delay compensation and better timing of the drums locked to the Cubase grid. But pretty good, raised my rating from 3 to 4 stars. Show more

    Formidable App, much appreciate giveaway
ISpark is no toy. The sounds are very decent and some of the features, including powerful automation lanes in the sequencer, make this a lot of fun. A LOT. And <3 to Arturia for the Covid inspired giveaway. I know I got some welcome pleasure out of that decision. I would be in for buying expansions and using this live but the absence of MIDI learn is big for me. It feels like one of those decisions a developer makes to protect the full AU/VST version, and that’s unfortunate. To have this thing rigged up to a controller, especially the live effects like reverse, strobe, tape down, etc., would be superb. BUT! They gave me this. I thanks them heartily! It rocks (Pssst...MIDI learn, pleeeeeaaaaase) Show more

    Update please
I love Arturia apps and of course their hardware. Let’s just say I have been using iOS apps in addition to hardware and software for many years. I even have beta tested about seventy or so apps on my iPhones and ipads-I am an app addict. I even devoted an entire iPad for a few live gigs so I could run this app with the Sparkle controller (not as my main drum source as of the last year or so the app is not very stable). This is one of the best iOS apps for drums imho. It needs an update though. I know they were cool enough to give it away for free during the pandemic but PLEASE update it. I know you guys rarely update your apps but don’t abandon these stellar apps. All and all this is really nice iOS drum machine. Has decent sounds. The sequencer is easy to use. Also you can really tweak the sounds with a lot more effects than you would think. I even can get a few gnarly effects by doubling the phaser effects which impressed me enough to grab a SparkLe (my buddy sold it to me for 15 bucks brand new so I would have grabbed it anyways but it brought the app to use outside the studio which is always fun). But this app is solid, only have has a few issues, and hopefully there will be an update soon! Show more

    I love this App
I love this app and would definitely love to see a new version like Acoustic drum kit modeling feature in spark 2

    This step sequencer is awesome!
Easy to use and the sounds are great! Sounds excellent ... timing is very accurate on the beat ... Love that you can see 6 lines without scrolling ... would be awesome to see a few more lines ... intuitive interface ... nice wav studio too to replace sounds ... love the white color too so its easy on the retinas keeping my irises nearly closed in the dark... A++. Show more

    Please don’t die, iSpark
This is exactly what I needed for music production on iPad. It has issues (not saving my bpm in projects or little changes I make to my drumkit) but is the best option we have on iOS for now. I’m not sure if I should get very attached to it though because it hasn’t been updated in years. What is it about phenomenal drum apps that keep becoming abandoned? iGOG was the other great drum app for iOS and its developers have abandoned it as well. I believe there is little hope for iSpark by now, real sad about this. Show more

Great app… but found a bug
If you load a different project or kit while a sequence is playing the loading popup gets stuck on the screen and you must close out the app to get rid of it. Other than that this is a wonderful music app. Show more

    I am completly Amazed
This drum Machine is exactly like the real think. Dear, developers, please make more Clones of real Drum Machines and even vintage models or music gadgets. I am completly impressed with iSPARK. Thank you for making this app of awesomeness. ? Show more

    Buggy
I am frequently unable to make the kit selection dialogue window go away without restarting the app. It is very annoying. Will change to 5 stars when this garbage is fixed Show more

ARTURIA NO LONGER SUPPORTS THIS APP
You get what you get. No response from the developer regarding any questions or issues. The forum is dead. NOTE: The six velocity layers are mutually exclusive under every playback type. A new velocity trigger will choke the previous sample layer. Realistic multilayer drum sample kits are not possible. Show more
