I paid for the Pro subscription. I had to change my password. Now it just keeps saying upgrade. Won’t let me do anything. And no way of contacting support. Unless you upgrade. I see you can no longer download 2020 OnSong. Show more

I purchased Onsong 2020 and they've deleted it, forcing users to pay a second time for the newer version. Not cool.

I got Onsong when it first came out. This company went from promising to greedy and useless. The Ratings and Reviews reflect reality for an app that crashes regularly, costs you way too much money for general support on things that should not break and I'm day 3 into a non-usable app after reaching out for help but I don't get front line assistance because I haven't tipped the maitre D'. I've switched to Songbook Pro and it is absolutely fantastic and $5.99 one time fee. Up running in 30 minutes and customized. Even uses the backups that Onsong provided on my cloud. Deleting Onsong and saying goodbye. And they commented with a "template" comment about Premium prices not being mandatory. I don't think you boys are reading your bibles the right way. Show more

i’ve had this app since they started. Just to get decent support now they insist you pay money even though I’m paying money for entire time. The privilege to move to the front of the line is given to the mighty dollar… Imagine that,,,,,! Always glitchy.. just had about every other song disappear out of my songs. I am a full time working Musician and don’t have time to sit around and wait for support and I’m not paying another dime for something that I’ve already paid for multiple time. Spend a bunch of time searching and downloading songs only to open up the app for a gig and find that there are ZERO songs in the library. Why would I pay for this app? Show more

They really need to fix this update just undo it

I excitedly purchased this app to control my GOKeys Roland keyboard after watching a YouTube video of a guy who used it to do such. It actually doesn’t work. Tried to get a refund. No answer. Then was charged a other $47.99 a month later to renew my subscription which I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR! Thought I’d make the best if it, dove in to see if it could help me on stage somehow. It’s overhyped and nothing any free app can’t do already. Useless to me and I’m out almost $100. Show more

WARNING: This is NOT an intuitive program. Do not spend time trying to load a a new song, save with the correct title etc without watching the Tutorial! Do Not waste your time trying to use the cheapest mode, you will be completely baffled and frustrated by icons that tell you to upgrade if you want to use those options and you need to use them to do simple edits. If they wanted to make this a user friendly app they should have icons on the top menus like Word does: New Song, Save As, Delete, Go back, and to be able to edit a song simply by tapping the screen. I bought this to simply cut and past songs (save as) and use the scroll options. I should have been able to open it and start doing this in five minutes. Instead I spent literally hours just trying to figure this thing out and then decided I needed watch some videos. Then I realized this app was written be programmers that have forgotten how kiss their users: to keep it simple-stupid. I upgraded because I’ve already invested time learning OnSong But frankly, I feel like I was switched and bated. If all you want in an app is to save your songs in a library and have a scroll option I would suggest that you keep looking. Show more

Not real happy about losing functionality of the console, and drawing that I paid for in the older version Pro purchase. I understand an upgrade for new feature but, but taking away something that I had already paid for ??????? Not a great business decision. Probably why the 2 star rating. Show more

I don’t know what this app used to be, but it doesn’t seem to do anything, now. I bought a simple bluetooth page turner that, unfortunately, doesn’t seem to be widely supported anymore, so I was hoping this app would. Seems like you can’t do ANYTHING with the free version. Might as well just use Acrobat. I especially liked how, when you try to pull up the organizing features, it tells you to upgrade, so you can use all the “basic” sorting features, like labels and folders. What a crock. It’s rare for me to leave 1-star reviews, but this was the most frustrating 5 minutes I’ve ever spent on my iPad. Show more

I’ve never experienced an app that is this buggy and borderline useless. It crashes every time you import a song. Every. Single. Time. I’d love to give feedback on other features but since the poorly written code doesn’t even allow me to add songs…I can’t get very far. I’ve never canceled a trial so fast in my entire life. If you have a 5th gen iPad Pro 12.9 inch, stay away. Show more

I am on onsong 2020, I have a show in about a hour. I went restore database and now it keeps shutting down. It does it on all my devices after restoring my updated song list. This is horrible. I guess they are forcing you to upgraded to 2022. I tried to locate the 2020 in App Store in case I had to reinstall but it isn’t there any longer. Really disappointed Show more

I downloaded the free version and found that none of the features I wanted were included. So, I upgraded for the $2/mo essentials package and went through the verification process. Still I could not access my new essentials account. I even reinstalled the app and signed in multiple times. Nothing. There is no way to contact customer service to explain this, except, I guess, to complain on here. I’m afraid the warnings on these reviews might be true. :( Show more

What gives! Your website support and help form will not accept data and your app is so buggy I cannot keep it open long enough to access support thru it. I’ve been a premium subscriber for several years w 2020 and now 2022 versions. Recently 2020 lost connection and all configuration of my AirTurn pedal and the app showed an update and at the same time of reconfiguring the app became highly unstable and consistently crashed every 1-60 seconds. At this point I downloaded and now am on 2022. Pedal was configured and I adjusted to the new layout and have used for several days and multiple hours and was happy UNTIL it started crashing again suddenly. Is there any known issue that would cause this behavior? I have an Air 3 w iOS 14.2. Show more

The 2020 version was tough to navigate but ended up being manageable. This version is much more difficult and not intuitive at all. Imported a PDF and it’s upside down. If I had another option I’d use it in an instant. BTW, this is my first negative review ever. Show more

Don’t trust this software with your time and energy. I had put in a lot of effort to learn the previous version and had several set lists constructed and lot of songs enteredthen they changed and now all my stuff is gone. Disgraceful. Show more

No plus sign to add songs. The songs i do have, I’ll try to change the key of the song, then the entire song switches

As others have said, the recent changes have made this a very buggy app and they are forcing you into a paid model even if you purchased the app prior. The statement “you can keep the OnSong 2020 app and not go into subscription model” is false as they have removed that app from the App Store. Very disappointed in how unstable and money hungry this app has become. OnSong was a staple for years but they won’t even let you import your backed up songs without paying anymore. Hope the extra money was worth it. Show more

Very unscrupulous business practices. Having literally used this for years we have now been forced to pursue other options. We first bought this app, and then had to buy again when they did some new version, that was supposed to be a one time purchase... Now you have to buy an annual subscription, which we did, but they limit their support so harshly, that you have to buy a brand new iPad every other year+ keep buying their increasingly expensive subscriptions just for the app to function, and on top of that, songs we’ve had in our libraries for years are “no longer in supported formats” causing us to lose tons of valuable data. And if you ever need to open a support request for anything expect to receive a response two weeks later that says ‘too bad we don’t support that’. Extremely disappointed in this company, their integrity, and their support. And based on their terrible ratings. I’m not the only one. :) I know for sure all 10 of our musicians and singers are all beyond frustrated with them. Just look elsewhere for cheaper and better functionality. Show more
