The first MP3 file i tried -- a 30-min narration of a Washington Post article -- stopped playing a few mins shy of the track end. The countdown timer seemed to be moving in triple time too. Sad to see as the rest of the interface and features are awesome. Other reviews suggest that the dev has gone AWOL; I hope that is not true. Show more

If you try to load too many songs at once the app crashes. It's a nice app otherwise but it has some glitches that really need to be worked out. I like the feature to add soundcloud, that is great. Show more

...pro tip: do not close the app if the last file you played in it was on a network share. If said share is not accessible when you next try to open the app it will be caught in an endless loop trying to access it, rendering the app useless and forcing you to either return to the network where the share is accessible or uninstall the app. As blunders go, this is a silly yet pretty boneheaded problem. I prefer this very sleek player over Vox, Musique, VLC, and others, but cannot use it because it can't accommodate my preferred workflow. I use Keyboard Maestro to open folders with my music player of choice, which works pretty consistently across music player apps. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with this one, and I instead get the error: "File [filename] couldn't be opened because you don't have permission to view it." I gave Ionica full disk access and messed with all kinds of permissions settings, but to no avail. It looks like if the developer adds support for "Files and Folders" in whatever controls that in the Security settings it might resolve my problem. I couldn't find a way to do that on the user side, though. Show more

Unfortunately this makes the app useless to me. Dev makes pretty frequent updates, but hasn't been responsive to this issue.

Cool interface, very lightweight, but won't open most MP3's on my external hard drive. Installed on new Macbook Air. Interface very similar to Winamp, which I like. Tried dragging music from external Seagate, app started lagging, then opened a separate search window. Able to select and hear some MP3's, but others were grayed out. App ultimately froze, had to force quit from Activity Monitor. Deleted app. Show more

I've been using Vox for years but like all good things it came to an end. I'm really enjoying the speed of this this player.

I was looking for a light-weight mp3 player that's easy to use so that I can play my old mp3 collection without having to import the entire collection into iTunes. Being a WinAmp fan of the past I was stoked to find this app! Fits my needs perfectly!!! Thanks!!! Show more

All the basic functionality of a music player, plus a really tight / small UI just like Winamp. Good UX too, I was able to customize it and create a playlist in no time. That's all I wanted and I couldn't be more happy! Show more

Need options to manage a complete music managment, Snappy app with nostalgia feeling from winamp.

I really like this app it reminds me of the vox music player from 10 years ago, before it got so bloated with loop. The only feature i would like in the future is the abiltiy to play youtube urls like vox. Show more

Neat little app. Yes it can played liked SoundCloud music which is very handy. One problem - one of the main ways people consume music on SC is via playlists and the app doesn't search or see the liked playlists. Show more

Been looking for something small and non-resource intensive to play music files while working... Seems really solid - EXCEPT: I can't load or play files off an external hard drive. I purposefully don't put music on my internal laptop drive and like to play them externally. No matter what I do, I can't get the player to read files externally. Aleksey, can you make that happen? Great work so far! However, the SoundCloud integraiton (the reason I purchased) is quite minimal, such as only displaying a maximum of 50 "liked" tracks. The SoundCloud API supports requesting 200 in one request, or pulling the whole list by making "paginated" multiple requests. Please update and this app gets 5/5! Show more

As the title goes. Metadata from FLAC and ALAC lossless files don't seem to be supported in this app. I would like to know if there is a way of doing so. MP3 files work well. Show more

Purchased the fullversion of this app as I liked the simplicity of it. The problem I have currently, it will only play 8 seconds of certain songs or files, others it will play the whole thing. I reached out to support, no response in almost 2 weeks. Show more

I like the interface, but unfortunately the app didn't work for me. It kept stuttering the sound when I was using my bluetooth mouse while playing music from my 256gb sd card. Will keep it for a few days to see if it continues. Show more
