What happened to the icon? Still great.
Update: Review below still applies, however I will add that I wish the short lived "new icon" stayed. This one is just so out of place and matches nothing else in the dock. The other one matched iTunes beautifully and looked miles better. Had I known we’d regress back to this one, I’d have saved the previous icon file and used it on further updates. But since an app is more than just an icon read below: For a heavy iTunes/Last.fm user, this is the perfect app. Removes the need for the site’s scrobbling app which is clunky and far outdated, and replaces it with a sleek, heavily useful (great iTunes controller) app that sits quietly, and out of the way in the menu bar, scrobbles better than the official app, and has some amazing functionality it adds to iTunes. Thank you so much for creating this app! Show more

Just what I was looking for
I was looking for something that would let me quickly rate and love songs in the background with key commands, without switcing back to iTunes. Plus it Scobbles!

    Just works!
This app just works. It’s automatic and unobtrusive, and just delightful to use. Having a better looking and more functional mini player that’s separate from iTunes isn’t a feature that I thought I would value that much, but I find that I’m using it all the time. It hides when iTunes is closed and opens when you open iTunes. I really like how it announces each track as they come on with a gorgeous little blur and bounce animation, it’s completely replaced the iTunes track notifications for me. And perhaps most importantly, you can browse iTunes with the miniplayer still open! Last.fm scrobbling is solid and accurate—currently using Neptunes on my personal and work computer and there are ZERO duplicate scrobbles! This has been a constant frustration of mine with the official scrobbler for a while and it’s just a load off my shoulders to finally have a good scrobbling experience. Overall, very solid and very polished. I’m kicking myself for not trying Neptunes sooner. Show more

    A gem for music lovers
If you’re addicted to scrobbling, Neptunes should be your app of choice. Small footprint, not overloaded with featues, stays true to Apple idea - it just works.

    Great Scrobbler
NepTunes is a great scrobbler that runs in the background with no problems. The new itunes control feature is a great addition, and is easy to hide if you dont like it. Show more

Way better than the official scrobbler
Discovered this app a couple months ago looking for a scrobbler that worked with Apple Music tracks not in my library. Would have rated it 5 stars then, definitely worth 5 stars now with the improved caching and integration in the new version. The only other feature I could ask for is scrobbling from Beats 1, but I’m not sure that’s technically possible? Show more

    Works like a charm
Works beautifully, for both songs and stations, and the added integration between Last.fm and Apple Music in the latest update is a very nice bonus. Feels great to be able to give an unequivocably positive review! Show more

    2 suggestions...
things that need to be implemented: 1. option to start Neptunes when iTunes starts. 2. ability to scrobble the plays that an iPod accumulates. Thanks!

    Cannot sign in
Attempted to download app after official Last FM scrobbler failed to authenticate. It seems that this app is having the same issue.
