This app has undergone so many changes. Overall, it’s the best app for discovering new music and also excellent remixes. I just wish the shuffle feature in my favorites list were more robust. I notice a pattern of the same couple of songs always being played. I’d donate money to see that. Show more

I loved this app and the website I even got to be at the hype hotel one sxsw, the only criticism I have for the app is I can’t get a song to be on repeat, perhaps I’m not seeing the function but I can’t seem to place a song on repeat only can do shuffle I’m coming from an android to iOS so I’m not too familiar with iOS yet but other than that the app has been amazing. Love your favorites. Jam out to your lists. Show your friends. Repeat endlessly. (About 10 years in my case.) Even with access to apple music, spotify, and google play... HYPE MACHINE is where I turn to discover fresh tunes. Its free and yet I pay $7 a month as a supporter. I don't really think there is much else to say. Show more

Title says it all

Love Hype machine for all the new music and artists it’s introduced me to, no issues with music aspect at all. But as for playback, every time I pause a song for a while, like longer than 30 sec, and go back to the app to resume the song, I’m met with a black screen and “Label” on the bottom. No access to menu or anything, so then I have to close and reopen and find the last song I was listening to. Really hope this is fixed soon bc it’s quite annoying having to do that every time! I just got back into using Hype Machine after a couple years of being stuck in the bubble of Spotify. I forgot how much I LOVE this service! The “popular” playlist almost always has some awesome new jams waiting to be played. Hype is one heck of a music platform, and they’re always adding new features. Kudos for their approach to financial stability, relying on the community rather than VCs or ads. I only wish more people chipped in their fair share to use this valuable platform. Show more

This app is a nice idea, but the genres are totally out of whack. Maybe it’s just the heavier genres, but when I tried to discover any sort of metal music it was always suggesting rap and edm? Show more

The app never works if you go to different applications or switch out of it for another media. Constantly crashing, logic chains are broken, always says I'm offline and aborts my current status in a playlist. Super frustrating Show more

I remember when I purchased this app! It’s free now, but I’ve never regretted investing in hype machine! I’ve told all my friends, when everyone asks where did u get this playlist? It’s just all my hype machine likes! Every day I’ve found a new gem. And here I am years later playing my playlist on shuffle. Which I’ve never done. And every song, every like / save brings back a memory. A time with a friend , a new adventure, somehow this app just surprised me even more and I didn’t think it was possible. Thank you for such a beautiful and classic app. This will always be my go to music app. Show more
