I can no longer rely on this app for my live rig. From the auditory glitches and the mess that is the layout tab, this app is now useless to me. What happened? Show more

I've used MainStage since August. Most of the time it works well; however, I've had a few times where I have a layered patch using piano, pads, and maybe a rhodes and during the song, inexplicably, the piano sounds drop out and stop working. CPU and Memory all show minimal usage but I lost my piano sounds and have to wait until the end of the song, shut down MainStage and restart it. I've gone through every tech help available and it's still happening. So frustrating. Worth the $30 but you should have a secondary keyboard that isn't connected to MainStage in case it fails. Since a recent update the recordings are no longer stereo (missing left channel), and are mono longer effectively making the feature useless.

She works again!! Thank you Apple for fixing the bugs in this update!! Performance Mode works again like it's supposed to. Mainstage is a killer app...especially at this price point. You won't be dissapointed. Show more

I love MainStage, but don't upgrade to 3.5 yet. 3.5 is very slow loading patches that use ESX files. It is so slow, it makes the patch useless

Once it gets through the 20 minute load time of a simple concert it performs fine. This is now a wideley reported issue. Get on the stick Apple!

CPU performance is way better than last update, but pedalboard and amp sim tones and GUI is old and is in serious need of an update. Performance view has a bug where buttons don't work with mouse or trackpad, please fix. Show more

i downloaded the latest update and non of my patches were able to launch in mainstage 3. Then it stoped opening, now it cant open. please fix this

I'm going with 2 stars because the latest updates to Logic Pro instruments are NOT here! PLEASE!!!!! Update so they match! The instruments in Logic are SO much better now! PLEASE!!!! Show more

Somehow Mainstage is wreaking havoc on my entire system's performance after it runs. Quitting doesn't help. Resources do not appear to be consumed. Seeing that the last update was 7 months ago is not encouraging. Show more

People ask me what I'm running all the time because the tonewheel organ sound is so good. I just want the ability to run two different keyboards easily, so I can do a Rhodes Hammond setup and switch one out at a time (e.g. if I want to use a grand piano, or do both manuals of an organ) Show more

I don't know what's going on but since my macbook updated to macOS Catalina MainStage has been a disaster. NOT GOOD ANYMORE! Do not waste your 30 bucks on this.

Love this app and have used it for years! It has allowed me to bring my live-keys playing to the next level. FEATURE REQUEST: Please consider adding MIDI Bussing within mainstage! It'd be SO handy to pass midi through a software instrument channel strip with Midi FX and bus it to another channel strip! More specifically, the ability to have MidiFX on a patch-level Instrument channel strip and send midi through those effects and then to another software instrument channel strip at the concert level! This would be a game changer for a lot of pro users. Show more

Very buggy. Brand new Macbook Pro and the files have a clicking sound each time I use them. Doesn't happen with any other software or midi files so I'm sure it is this. Reported the problem and tried to get a refund from App store. They denied it with no explanation. Thanks for nothing Apple. Show more

I purchased Main Stage 3 a couple years ago (maybe?) and it used to work and everything. Now I deleted it awhile ago to save some room until i could get an external HD. So, Now i want to redownload it and when i click it it does the load wheel for 3 seconds and wont download. I tried customer service and FAQ's but there is no way to report my issue. I would like to be refunded for the app since it doesn't work anymore, or have it fixed on the app store so I can re-download it. Show more

This program is amazing, it never crashes on me with my 2019 Macbook Pro 16g of Ram. I just wish we could get the modwheel as a touch bar item! It would be a great feature to eb able to control a slide on the touch bar to work the mod wheel. Show more

I have used this for about 6 years now. I love the ability to create my own sound. It is a great tool. Please bring this to Ipad!!!!!

Manstage used to have the ability to select mutiple objects in Layout view and change thier properties all at once, now with version 3.4.3 you have to select each object one by one to change each individual property. For example if you have 16 faders and you want to change the text color you have to select each fader one by one vs selecting all and making just one change. Show more

After 3.4.3 update my PERFORMANCE display very blurry! I don’t know what to do to fix it!!!! Can somebody help? PLEASE!!!!!!!!

So Far i’m loving it except for 1 feature, the ability in Loopback to queue a GROUP to play when whatever other loop that is currently playing reaches it’s end. Currently I use a Boss RC-300 for my acoustic gigs and im dying to switch to using Mainstage 3 but when it comes to multi track looping or multi track playback it still needs a few features. Basically, if you press Play on GROUP A it should start Immediately then when you press Play for a Track in GROUP B it will wait until the longest track in GROUP A has finished playing then Immediately start looping GROUP B. With that you can set each Loopback instance to a different part of the song, GROUP A for Verse, GROUP B for Chorus, then while the Verse is playing you can Queue the Chorus to start playing as soon as the verse is done playing. Additionally its missing the ability to map a Record/Play button, there’s a Record, Play/Stop, Play, Stop and others but there should be an option to map a Record/Play button and the ability to specify to do Rec/Dub/Play or Rec/Play/Dub when pressing that button like all loopers out there have. Also when you Clear a track that is currently playing, it should stop playing, otherwise you have to either press PLAY/STOP or STOP before you can start recording your next track. So here's my wishlist: - Option to set each GROUP to either start Playing Immediately or at the end of the GROUP that is currently playing. - When tracks are cleared, stop playing the track. - When you UNDO a track that is currently Overdubbing it would stop Overdubbing and keep playback unless it was the first take, then stop the track. - Ability to map midi messages to the state of a button. So if Button # 1 lights up, send CC#20 value 127, if it turns off send cc#20 value 0, this would only happen when the state of a button is changed and when the patch is first loaded. This would be very useful to sync leds on midi controllers that turn on/off based on MIDI input. - Song Info Panel that would include the Key, Artist, Name, Lyrics, etc and that can be toggled to Show/Hide with a button.
