It’s perfect for learn

When I first bought the app it would open on my iPad. Now no matter what I do it will not open. Crashes continuously! I recently received a notification that the app developer had replied to my review with a means to contact them concerning my difficulties with their app. I sent an email to their feedback center as well as one to the developer. To date have not received a response from either. Needless to say I am even more disappointed! Show more

The app is a bit glitchy. I bought the Kala ukulele and it made sense to get the app. I have only been using it for 6 days now and day 2’s title says ‘F chord’ when it taught G chord, and the songs after the lesson has F& G chord when I fact I have not learned F chord yet. The day 3 says ‘G chord’ when it teaches F. Also could go a bit more in depth about strumming. I am still very confused on this so I am not even sure if I am playing correctly. I’ve been strumming with one thumb, but the picture shows all fingers. Do I use the tips of my fingers? Or the nails? I really am not sure. I like the tuning part that makes sure you are in key and idk if I am just strumming wrong or what but it doesn’t sound like his does. Also, when playing the songs I know it isn’t always catching my notes and if I get them wrong so I don’t trust that it is counting how many g chords I get properly. Show more

I am just loving this app! It’s a great resource for tuning te ukulele, learning various chords, and integrating into various songs from artists like the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, or traditional island music. So much fun and easy to use. Love it! Show more

The merge is horrible! It was way more comprehensive and user friendly before. The tuning doesn’t work well at all. I lost all my favorite preselected but me song favorite. Not as happy overall disappointing Show more

New version doesn’t allow for removing a vocal instrumental track or add/remove percussion tracks. Lyrics are very difficult to read with new color scheme. Tuner doesn’t seem to work as well. Song library has changed and some of my previous favs are gone. I can’t think of one thing that is better in the new update. I still use some but find myself just watching you tube tutorials. They charge $35 a year but my daughter went back to playing her uke after a few months off they charged her $35 annual, a week later a $6 monthly fee, and a week later a $65 annual fee. Took a complaint to Apple to get it corrected. Seemed a bit shady. Show more

They made this app worse in every way when they changed it. Can no longer transpose songs, the lyrics are harder to read and it flips rotation between songs. I was so disappointed, I dropped it and bought Yousician. I just missed strumming and playing, so I bought it again. I’m still disappointed every time I use it and hope they will change it back. When I was doing my free trial there were lots of videos but I soon figured out that was just for a handful of songs. Also the app doesn’t work without data even the tuner which was a bummer. Show more

Got me started

I’ve enjoyed learning chords and songs using the free version of the app. I’d wait to try out the trial of premium if you want to practice favorite songs that aren’t fully unlocked on the free version, unless you want to pay the subscription. If the devs were able to cycle some popular songs through for free each month then I’d recommend the app more. Show more

This app has really given me An opportunity to enjoy, play an instrument, and learn how to play songs & to understand the chords. Because of this app, I’m starting to play the ukulele more! And I’m starting to love and enjoy the beautiful sounds of the instrument. Every day I either learn to play a song, or learn a new chord. The app has made me more great-full for the ukulele. I couldn’t stop playing the instrument. I played for 3 hours straight! I really recommend this app! Learn to play songs! Learn a new chord every day, it will help you! Show more
