The Bluetooth certainly has its issues with the remote app. Once I switched to the USB type B to lighting on my iPad. The app works just fine. I have the THR30ii and beginning to like it a lot. Show more

Be sure to wear diapers when switching presets because the volume spikes will shock you. Been this way forever, and STILL no patch to fix this?

Literally spent an hour getting a good tone. Now it says nothing is saved and I can’t push any buttons. Nothing works pointless

After updating the amp firmware, the app crashes when opened. Just not usable. Such a poor maintenance. Regret buying their product.

It’s wonderful to be able to control my amp from my phone. The enhanced controls for the FX are beneficial and the bonus FX are a nice surprise.

The multiple Cabinet models are the BEST! BUT… if you change amp models (clean -> crunch etc) it LOSES the selected cabinet and resets. This makes dialing in a good tone with the cabinet sims nearly impossible. Show more

In the latest version of the iPad app…if you tap the upper left menu (guitar images)… the menue pops up, but only for a brief moment…then disappears! So frustrating. IPhone app works fine, but the iPad app…the menu is unusable due to this bug. PLEASE fix. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Show more

When you spend $500 on a practice amp… you would expect the app for the amp to be pretty slick. Unfortunately, it seems like Yamaha cut every possible corner on this project. There are bugs everywhere, the UI doesn’t make much sense, it is super laggy, it doesn’t connect automatically when you open the app (even when Bluetooth is paired), changing a setting like turning on/off the LEDs re-sets whatever sound you had. It seems to kind of work the first time you power it on and load the app, but if you switch apps or come back 10 min later, nothing is connected/works. Did a QA team even look at this? The only upside to this app is you can add in a very good compressor and select a variety of pleasant reverb types which are unavailable on the physical amp. Makes a huge difference tonally. So far I am not having any issues. I am using this app on a 2021 iPad with my new THR30II Wireless. Cool app, its nice to be able to play with some amp parameters. That being said, I do wish there was more to play with. They could do a lot with an app like this, but seems like they are purposely limited its capabilities. Show more

This is pretty good especially considering you get all the models we used to have to buy extra units for. Two improvement requests before I would rate 5 stars: 1. The global volume makes this impractical for performance rehearsals due to the inability to program a simple boost for solos. Please consider adding an assignable volume boost. 2. Even though the sounds switch immediately with Bluetooth MIDI, there is some serious latency with the display switching. Show more

Please update the app. It keeps on crashing on me and I’m to the point of returning the amp because I feel like I’m missing on on all the features.

The functions are OK. I met disconnection (with the amp) or app crash issue every now and then (perhaps every few minutes or each time I open the app.) This makes the experience really bad. I couldn’t say it’s very ‘usable’. Please do necessary tests before releasing the app. Show more

I love the amp and dimly really want to buy a different one. THR Remote fails to connect via Bluetooth and when it does it crashes frequently when changing settings. This is a deal killer. Please fix it. Show more

The app keeps crashing and never connect when i buy a product i expect it to have everything working

Thank you for this recent update on may 31st. Not having access to the main gain knob in the app was a real drag and it would often need changing switching between amps. Something with the output gain was definitely not working correctly before but this update. The app/firmware update has seemed to solve most of my issue I was having with my thr30II wireless, so I’m happy. This thing is such an awesome little amp with a wide variety of the sweetest tones. The app would freeze when tapping the 1,2,3,4,5 below the controls.

After pairing to my device, app crashes on startup every time. Follow up 4/27/2021 - still unusable. Absurd!

The app is terrible — constantly hangs. Poor support
